“The difference between the almost right word and the right word is really a large matter- ‘tis the difference between the lightening bug and the lightening.”- Samuel Clemens (a.k.a. Mark Twain)
Some of us are born writing. Words - clear, concise, quintessential - guide our lives. We are the people for whom language clarifies thought. The ones for whom letters are bricks, words - ideas, and phrasing the essence of communication.
We pick fights over meaning; acutely aware the more effective the sentence the less the eye will see, we write for the perception of thoughts rather than paragraphs. The essence over the symbol. We write so the message is heard.
Here at Poetic Persuasions, it is our mission to deliver a clear, concise message in a rhythmic, unforgettable fashion. Ideas are never so credible, so defined as when communicated through words to another. But, sans rhythm, words slam together into dissonant sentences the eyes and ears trip upon along the route to understanding.
Here at Poetic Persuasions, our goal is to write so the words disappear.
